All light switches in your house should have LED\\\'s instead of Neon Lights (If they have them) or if they don\\\'t
Description
How many times have you turned your lights in your room, Bathroom, Family room, Kitchen off at night only to feel in front of you looking in the dark to find the light switch?

I know if you live in California and there is an emergency like the possibly an earthquake in the middle of the night you need to find that wall switch. Get rid of the 60 volt neons and sell all wall switches w OSRAM led\\\'s that are UL approved and rectify it to DC. Every new house built, should have wall switches with LED\\\'s! Get together w/ Leviton and Hubbell!

Thanks,
Scott

(Sorry no AC wall switch pic yet)

It would be great to be able to select the colour for the light in the wall switches... and to have a light sensor so the turn off during the day or if the light is on that way you don\'t waste electricity.... I think that it is a good idea to have them, as you say, in emergencies... but I wonder that if the power goes out, what use is the light switch... If your light switches had a back up battery and a row of high output LED\'s in the bottom edge that came on in a power failure providing emergency lighting to the floor that would be good. howman
I agree, if we lose power the led won\'t light. It will have to have an additional power source and serve some purpose like Howman states. LED Head
I was trying to avoid another source of power here. Oh well. Just make the house a futuristic 24 Volts DC and get rid of the power companies AC. (If I could I would) Thanks http://player.cumulusstreaming.com/SLPLayer.aspx?KFOG-FM scottfisher
It isn\'t that difficult to do... A friend is in the process of building a new home and he did all the wiring in the house as normal but at the circuit box disconnected it and ran all the lights as 12V so he runs halogens with no transformers and LED\'s at low voltage... He doesn\'t think he will save a lot but he will save. for the most part if you can get a dual system going, most of your electronics run on 12V internally so it isn\'t a huge problem until you start needing amperage. howman
