The aluminium profile (1.4m long) contains a total of 16 side emitting LED modules. Every module contains two 1W LEDs and is controlled individually via a Mega8 microcontroller.

The light bar can be mounted in every position on a wall, ceiling or wherever, because of the extreme rigid aluminium profile. I have mounted the light bar in the edge between the wall and the angled housetop ceiling.

The dimming of the single modules has got no effect on the room\\\'s ambience. But looking at the light bar has got a relaxing effect.

cool idea. It would be wicked to be able to turn it on and off by sliding a finger along it. or tapping it to change colour. I would like this hooked up to my phone so when someone in my caller list calls i get a colour specific to them... had that feature on an old cell phone years ago. howman
