Initial Ideas

The idea originally had three different shaped objects and then developed into the Light Blanket. Please see pic.

Light Blanket:
Comes with ‘transmitters’, which you can wear around your neck. The sound information is transmitted to the blanket transforming it into a great light show. I also thought the blanket could respond to your position around it, and maybe if you walked and sang around it, the light would follow you!

When you sing (or howl) or play an instrument together, the blanket could display the number of people (or pets) represented by different shapes/colours and create a light animation using these (a bit like the Visualizer in I-tunes).

Admittedly I have no knowledge of the technology needed to make the light blanket, if anyone has any ideas please do leave me a message. A few things I thought might be important is how sensitive the ‘transmitter’ has to be to pick up the sound information without picking up someone else’s (maybe this could be adjusted by the user). Another is how sophisticated the technology would need to be to transform this information into something like an animation etc.
