instructables\' in the house! Welcome! diplomod
it reminds me of throwies! have you ever heard about it? They\'re little led with battery and magnet. You throw \'em all around the city to create light scluptures path or whatever. steste
@steste - Yes I heard and make them, that was my inspiration for the Tealed, a throwie with a switch... and not for throw, but for use it all the time and recycle (change the batteries) becava
Thanks for the link! ;) bahars
Idea Details
TeaLED: Led, Switch, Box and Batteries (not glue nor solder)
Description
A Tiny Led lamp to use wherever you like, do not need electronics knowledge to make it, just cut an acetate sheet add 2 CR2032 batteries and 1 Led (white, flashing red, ultraviolet, RGB slow or fast, 10mm or 5mm).

I have always liked LEDs and since their existance, I have been using them in a lot of projects, looking for a small box where to put it, using cheap materials to create a nice looking finished project. After a lot of designs with trial and error, now I designed a template to cut a PVC sheet (acetate/mylar) and made a box for the batteries, the switch and the led, without even using glue or solder.

I like it, its small and compact so you can carry it with you. LED on the go. Classic
Very cool DIY project. howman
An interesting idea, a useful method of using it. Grafitti Research lab did a thing with LED throwies...looks neat, the link is http://graffitiresearchlab.com/?page_id=6 The lighting up of the note is a good way to call someone\'s attention to the note...made me laugh...do your homework...and they couldn\'t claim they didn\'t see the note! LED Head
We use the ones we got at IIDEX on our fridge just like that LED Head. If I write an important note I put it on the fridge and turn on the flashy three colour LED. Thing is the battery dies within a couple of hours. They only have little watch batteries, and two of them to boot... Now if there was a way to use only one battery and make it last longer, that would be the best innovation. howman
To howman: I use 2 CR2032 batteries and a red blink led,the time on is more than a week becava
@becava - ahhh built in flash... Can you use other colours or multi-colours the same way? howman
@howman - Yes, I use the box with 5mm and 10mm leds, in white color, RGB slow color, Flashing leds, blue, ultaviolet, etc. becava
@becava - cool... howman
Ok, I agree that it\'s a simple and nice approach, but in which context are you suggesting it to be used? bahars
@bahars - Please download and read the PDF file, where I suggest to use in all kind of craft. For example I have one of the tealed in all rooms in my house, attached with velcro to the doors, so if the electric energy in my house is down, always have a light at hand..... I also have some with flashing led (different colors) with magnet to the fridge for messages, and also I use them inside personalized candles to iluminate the photos in the candle.... So use them in all context you imagine, it\'s just a cheap box with lead, battery and switch. becava
Oh, sorry I seem to miss the pdf. Great job! bahars
I just don\'t like the idea of using non rechargeable batteries and having lithium batteries ending up in landfills. LED Head
@LED Head - And who tell you that you can not use rechargeable batteries in my project?.... You can buy CR2032 rechargeable batteries in ebay and also the charger for a very low price :) becava
