if that is the case if ur yelling the amplitude would be high and if your happy the color would be yellow. if ur speaking softly and ur upset the amplitude would be low and the would be red. something of that sort. Good question though. Classic

Thanks for your input! I didnt know photon boards, very cool. Love the pictures. However, my idea is quite different cause it is a flexible, movable light and not build in like the photon boards. So my idea can potentially be extended to other boarding and rolling devices. Not to mention the whole context of my idea and all the potential implementations I described go way beyond that. This company has technology that is covered under various U.S. patents (6,934,167 for example). The technology is available for development, they are looking for partners and why re-invent the wheel when they have already done the hard work?

The nice thing about this technology is they claim 75 to 85% efficiency on power transfer.

I could see this technology being used in the following ways:

1. The inductor could be a tablet of whatever size you wish, and when you place the cell lamps on it they light up. Since this technology would allow for not only power but also data to be transferred to the various devices, you could have a hard wired remote that transfers RGB lamp data to individual lamps, or you could have a wireless controller that does the same.

2. If you did not want a controller and wanted people to interact with the lamps, you could put several inductors into the lamps and whatever way they position the lights, this would dictate the RGB data.

3. The inductive charger could also be hidden behind a wall, hidden into a countertop or other surface.

This is some pretty interesting technology and I think it could be well implemented into not only the Cell product, but any product that calls for wireless power and wireless data transmission!
