Petra - The way in which you presented this idea is more artistic in it\'s direction than utilitarian. I guess I picked up on that and offered a technical type of comment which would extend it\'s utility. As to the form of the device, I think that your rendering, when directly compared to Eva Shi\'s rendering, looks a bit less flash due to her use of shiny plastic, a montage explaining use and black colour theme... Now this does not take away from the concept you presented first. Many a time first mover is not the one to benefit from the highest rating or profit... But is the first and the one who everyone else copied. As a teaching tool for children, as a message board, the way you show it, and as a changeable art work, your images really show the emotion involved with the idea much more so than the slicker copy. I think most of my comment about the other design was less about the design and more about someone taking a poke at my commenting. I didn\'t mean it as a slight against your idea. I am sure I would have done the same no matter what idea my comment was attached to. :) howman

Light painting canvas can work as an educational toy for kids. Kids can either draw on the canvas mounted on the wall or have their own small sized canvas similar to drawing boards.

Choose a drawing tool : your finger, hand , brush, special pen or shape stamps...

Choose a colour according your mood.
Switch to unicolour or multicolour mode.
Change colours...
Switch to preset colour mode corresponding your activity : eating, working, sleeping, raleax...
The width of the line changes with the width of a drawing tool.

Different sizes and shapes of canvas are available.

Remote conrol : controls for changing the colours,mood colour interfaces and intensity of light
ON / OFF button, RESET button
Canvas can also turn off automatically after a period of time (f.e. 1 hour) to save the energy.
Canvas can be reset to start a new painting with RESET button

Thanks..have to confess I didn\'t know about surface computers...but anyway I think it\'s a different concept and technology .This canvas is not not another computer for your room, it\'s more sort of a wall decoration and lighting element 2in1 .The canvas except the painted areas doesn\'t emit any light.. petra
Interesting. It would be great as a fridge front where you can write messages with your fingers for others, or in a child\'s room as a toy for them to play with and learn. howman

OMG..we seem to think in the same way..i really should publish my idea earlier.But petra, if u win, i will also be happy for u since it means my direction is right. Good luck. If my work can still be counnted as an eligible one, I love mine a little bit more because light is \"lighter\" in the black background. Anyway, wonderful job. I love your design. Eva Shi
:) Thanks Eva for such a nice comment! But I have to say I like the white bakcground since it resembles more to the real canvas and is less visible on the walls (supposing the majority of walls are painted white).But I completely understand why you prefer black :) Wish you all the best! petra
you changed your image presentation, I still think, this is very good idea, well described even though any image. A little bit long text :) but I like it and undertand it well. In the 1.st image with a finger is telling everything. Good job! I wish one for me ;) durica
