Description
UnderWaterLove is a ceiling led light that makes your living room ceiling looking like the sea surface from a divers perspektive. Through RGB-LEDs and special lenses the shine has a beautiful fickle and calmative effect while you are relaxing on your sofa. Please take a look on to the attached animation!!!

UnderWaterLove of course can also enlight the room in a normal way and replaces your old-fashioned ceiling lights. In the \"UnderWater-Mode\" it can be fully remote controlled. Colour, brightness and speed can be adjusted. Of course the reflections on your ceiling will not recur. Just like the sea surface you will never see the same reflections again! The reduced design of the light leans on the shape of a ray gliding through the ocean. All the user can see is a thin surface made out of polished aluminium.

nice idea joehanson
Very cool! Can it also be used as a usual light? Might make sense as it\'s on the ceiling. diplomod
wow, i\'d love to have this; this is great stuff for parties! :-) Elle Mercier
how do you fix this lamp on the ceiling? Laralubilu
Of course it can be used as a usual light. I didn´t work on the detail of fixing it to the ceiling yet, but there are hundreds of ways to mount it. amnesiac
wow I would really like to have such thing in my house:) jnousis
How do you propose to create the rippling effect? would you use a liquid to refract and distort the the light? ChrisNatt
i think a liquid would be not feasible in mass production, but the effect could be simulated with filters and lenses. perhaps i get the chance to show what´s in my mind in the second phase of this contest! amnesiac
If this was done really well and worked as you describe, I think it could be amazing! user not found
look at olafur eliasson, he will give you inspirations user not found
Liquid might be feasible...I am thinking maybe a thin, flat enclosure for the liquid and use something like the liquid in a lava lamp? It could help draw heat away from the LED? As the liquid moved, it would reflect / refract? To speed up the effect just drive the LED harder? user not found
amazing design & very innovative but I think it\'s not easy to apply it on ceiling !! user not found
Would it be more practical to mount it as a wall light and have the effect project onto the ceiling? I think this is a fabulous idea too. The effect of seeing those cool colours is always calming. Also, would the fiting have to be moving too? To get the constantly changing effect? I\'m imagining something like a theater light fitting. Just wondering about the mechanics of it I suppose. user not found
I think this would be a great item for use in relaxation rooms at airports or train stations. You could charge by the half hour and feed in songs of the whale or swooshing sounds of the ocean... but not like Homer Simpson\'s relaxation. Woo woo, Woo woo, whoosh whoosh, CAW CAW!!! Avast matey! howman
Very soft and pleasant idea)) The finest is light... And on it there should be an accent) user not found
Maybe add some aromatherapy, like a vague slightly humid salt water smell, it would be like being near the ocean. user not found
Great idea. Smell-O-vision... love it. howman
Yeah, but we will leave out the dead fish and beached whale smells...LOL user not found
Who knows... I guess it would depend if you have it set on San Fransisco or Palm Beach... howman
congratulations on moving forward. howman
Congratulations on making it to phase 2 Classic
