WEDGE - Solar powered Led-light
Description
Wedge solar powered led-light is a new environmentally friendly lightning device. It holds inside new technology which makes it possible to have light in a totally new way. Wedge is based on a simple splitting idea where magnets are keeping it complete while sending the energy inside. This is just what human wants to difference from the nature – it takes the energy outside and transports it wirelessly inside, like we’ve always wanted! Wedge is a hard worker too. During the day it gathers all sun given energy inside to batteries and when the day falls, it gives the needed help for lightening your environment.
Wedge is meant for glass surfaces such as fences and windows. It stays in place with inner magnets. You can adjust the light strength and color of light easily from front panel switches. There’s 2 directions for the light – gathering comes naturally always from up the sun, but given light you can aim down or up. You just simply turn the light source part around. Perfect places for Wedge usage are balconies, boats, pool fences, cottages, etc.
Wireless charging is already possible, which is used in different hand device battery charging, such as mobile phones.

cool idea. I like the transference of technology and visual separation of concepts by having the charger outside and the light inside... fun... I think that the light at night that close to the window would make them all look like mirrors from the inside and very easy to see in from the outside... May have to play with the angles to get it right for privacy. howman
I also wonder what happens if I remove the light from inside... does the solar array fall off the window and break? How do you keep this from happening? howman
If it is held together via magnetic, it would not be a good idea during hurricane season to leave these out. LED Head
...yes and they put wooden boards on the windows when hurricane comes. That\'s all I can say to this comment. Pekka
Howman: Yes of course I have thought that falling too! but magnets for concept is just million times sexier than using plungers, you know! with plungers it\'s done, but this competition is in 2 steps ; ). BTW thanks for the reflection thing, but like you mentioned it\'s all about aiming the light... Pekka
They had years ago magnetic window washers and squeegees... they were a great idea but people had a habit of lifting the inner one on each stroke... I can\'t tell you how many fell from 20 stories up... I wonder if that may be the same problem with your design... If I want to move the light, instinctively I would pull it away from the glass as to not scratch it and that would break the magnetic bond sending the solar part tumbling to the ground... not so bad if it falls a few feet onto the grass. Not so good if it drops 40 stories to the pavement. howman
