Description
Structure and mechanics
The main function it is base on 3D moving nodes, each one of them allows e lamp to move and deform en 3 directions.
The material for the body remains flexible and translucent so you can bend the lamp in any direction and keep the softly touch for the user interface.
These nodes carry inside them a rechargeable battery, and let the LEDs line pass inside and through them.
They are made of transparent plastic so the light can glow through the entire lamp.
Also the led´s line it’s wider in the end because it has more powerful LED´s to function as spot lamp.

Very well thought out Jorge. I wonder though if you could just use a common metal spiral as is seen in common adjustable lamps. Instead of creating a new type of hinge, use one that is tried and true. You will be covering it with a flexible material that protects it, so simple, low cost and reliable would be a better choice. Don\'t forget that people will try to twist your lamp as well and your current hinge system, while it will move easily, may lead to broken wires inside if it is twisted too far. BTW, you look so happy in your picture :) howman
Twisting and flexibility is a whole set of U.L. tests if this is connected to the AC mains at all. Even if not, like Howman said, it would be a good idea to limit the twisting. I don\'t see a need to limit the flex, just the twist. LED Head
