Thank you! Nazila
thx ;-) interesting design hartymd3
Thank you.your Ideas are wonderful!I will use your opinions. Nazila
:) thx durica
the visualizations that come with media players just measure the amplitude of the sound, with this it detects the tone and the color depicts the emotions in the person. If someone is upset then the color changes, if the person is relaxed while speaking the color changes. Classic
the color, because color can describe moods and emotions. Using Color thoery. Classic
Thanks! ChrisNatt
Hey, I wanted to tell you personally that I really like your approach to the ideas of lighting. I really appreciate the thought put into each idea and the feedback that you give to other people. Good Job! Classic
Yea, everytime I read a critique by you its always very good and people can take alot from it. I think that is very important. Even your ideas has a nice asthetic aspect but yet the concept behind the idea very strong Classic
Thanks howman, great idea about making them fly/change color - now if you could only make\'em levitate silently, for $4.99/piece, you\'d probably get a Nobel prize :)) giorgio789
Soon! love the new concept by the way. ChrisNatt
Thanks alot. Nazila
thank you very much for your feedback! Pri
Perfect!I think about that. Nazila
Hey thank you!
I see you have a good bunch of project here, very interesting.
keep up the good work! steste
Thanks for letting me know the bugs - I am working on it! diplomod
@steste - thanks.
howman
@diplomod - no problem... the design changes are really good. howman
I have noticed, and it isn\'t a huge problem, that when I do a detailed evaluation, in the sorting section, projects I have not viewed or evaluated are offered for sorting. I don\'t mind it, but it is a disservice to the designer as I can not evaluate a design I have not viewed against one I am viewing, so these designs tend to be ranked low in the sorting. This is something to take into consideration when finalizing the weight of the sorted evaluation in judging. howman
good photo! :) Kris
I started typing a lot, but could be summed up as you have some great ideas of your own and invaluable insight into those of others. riddickuliss

nice compliment from you, thx, I like your direction of mind in yours ideas durica
Howman
Thanks for the comment.
The system does not work with the brake pressure, is independent
and its achieved by the activating sensors that according
to the distance of a car behind it,
the lights get dimmer or brighter. HelferDesign
Thank you that you show me how much somebody need the interaction :) durica
Love your innovative designs! I hope some of them make it onto the market one day Jak
I like your idea. But I wonder if superimposing the therapeutic light on the screen will reduce the available contrast ratio of the display? Maybe the auxiliary light could be around the edge of the screen instead of overlaying it. howard
@skilleder - None of these have been put into prototype as of yet. The point of these ideas is for the community to help develop them and to push the boundaries of what is possible with todays and tomorrows technology. Some of my ideas are far future and others are more possible with todays technology. If you notice, just about every idea I present is not a product solution but an underlying technology which can be used in many products. My goal is not to develop something that can be sold quick and easy but rather to inspire and provide a tool set for others to develop products from. I have said it before somewhere here, but I have no real desire to create the music player but rather the music file, to use a parallel. I also address the emotional aspect of each idea in a situation in order to illustrate one possible affective application. howman
Hallo Howman, Thank you for your comment. But I don«t understand \"We have 8 Ladies and Gentleman...\". Does it mean eight ideas about fabric? Please help me burk
Hi howman. Here is my suggestion of how the goggle would detect the mood. Reading a few articles I came to know that our eye color changes with our mood. So placing a color sensor in the goggle would detect the color of the eye that indirectly reflects our mood. Now according to the color detected the goggle would change the color correspondingly as stated before. Thx for your suggestion, ya for application in certain situations where we want the reverse thing to happen we would change the goggle to more aggressive color, in way to heighten the sense of person wearing it, put them on edge and make them more aggressive. Here instead of relaxing mode we would rather have violent mode. Hope u get Me.! pavithrabvs

@howman:ha ha.. you probably cannot swap out the lights as you may have to return your bands back to your teachers and you are not allowed to take it back. ya i agree with you, the teacher can also be made to wear a one as we can find how well the teacher has understood the concept....i dont understand /*Fitting that the OP used images of South Park\\\'s classroom...*/ pavithrabvs
Thanks for your feed back had undertaken initial research and hadn\'t found anything similar. Still think that the idea could be further developed.appreciate your comments though. lindaexmoor

Idea Details
Colour capture camera unit.
Description
Comments
Pretty cool - I did not know this stuff works. I like the option to share it easily by USB and even bluetooth - so e.g. you can alter the background-colour of your pda by an exact RGB input from a colour you see and like.
diplomod
hmmm... yes, that is a good use for this. I was actually thinking about a design group working on a project and being out in the field being able to share colours with each other. Lets say I am out on the week end, I could e-mail the colour to a colleague from my phone. But, being able to capture a colour and use it as a screen colour on my phone would be cool too... perhaps if the whole phone was made from a light emitting material, I could change the colour of my whole phone... or go so far as to have paint on my car that could be colour swapped.
howman
I don\'t know what kind of cost point we are looking for this device. I like the idea of a screen to be able to see what you captured, but any screen will and $$$ and a touch screen will add even more $$$. Maybe we can make some sort of multi portioned RGB ring on the edge of the camera capture area and display say, 16 of the colors that the camera captured?
If we can keep the camera capture area really small, chances are you will get the exact color you are trying to capture. If the apeture on the camera is too large we will be getting far too many colors.
LED Head
With a 0-distance camera sitting about 3mm from the object to the capture matrix, i doubt we willb e grabbing too many colours... hence too the colour picker. As to memory, I have a 2GB micro SD chip... memory is cheap. I was also thinking about some form of linux distro running right off the memory chip. No cost. As to the screen, 1.8inch screens can be had from china for a few $ each and to get them to supply a touch membrane is also only a few $ for that size. The idea is this is for professionals, not the average user, think interior designers, architects, industrial designers, the paint rep etc. I see a business need for these. Everyone else could use regular cameras or cell phones.
howman
I would like this device to be utilised for monitor calibration as well - so far, my calibration device is in action only once in a couple of weeks. As universal colour picker I would sure use it more often. For example, when measuring colors of photo motifs or objects outdoor.
grobi142
Do we have any idea of what the target costs are?
LED Head
WOW! This is great and really useful. I hate the struggles of always trying to match colors in the studio. Neat new application
Classic
@grobi142 - True, this would be killer if you could have the Pantone or Toyo library on file in it so you could instantly know where your captured colour fits... Also to calibrate your monitor would be a great use for it as you said.
howman
@LED Head - I would imagine that it would retail for a hundred bucks or so... Perhaps a calibrated set of 5 for a studio with a keyed combination lock so they only work with each other and registered computers for a grand.
howman
@Classic - glad I could help... :)
howman
Update thought - It would be great if you could get the Pantone colour trends or colour trends from other sources direct to this device so you can colour match things out in the field or in factories while on trips... lets say you are sourcing fabric, you could download the colour trends or have your own on file, and colour match them side by side on the screen by capturing the colour in manufacture.
howman
@howman:I think that would work out great
