Fovea is an adjustable task light fixture that was influenced by animatronic eyes concealed underneath puppets found in various theme parks and Hollywood movies. I wanted to create a character that was completely functional as a task light fixture. Using an adjustment wand and linkage system the user can control where the eyes locate the desired focused light. LEDs and secondary optics allowed the eyes to remain at a desired scale that small halogen light sources typically could not offer.
