the visualizations that come with media players just measure the amplitude of the sound, with this it detects the tone and the color depicts the emotions in the person. If someone is upset then the color changes, if the person is relaxed while speaking the color changes. Classic

I just thought of something else! I will change the image. What if the monitor also projected the text of the person speaking. That way one would read the words, can view the intensity and can read what emotion or mood the person speaking is in by the color! Classic

You can sense certain things, but I could be yelling and happy about, like someone I haven\'t seen in a while surprising me for example. I could be talking softly and still be upset. I am thinking the emotion algorithm would have to include amplititude, pitch, tonality, speed, and maybe some other aspects... LED Head

if that is the case if ur yelling the amplitude would be high and if your happy the color would be yellow. if ur speaking softly and ur upset the amplitude would be low and the would be red. something of that sort. Good question though. Classic

Maybe somehow incorporating this into a baby monitor so a parent could tell when a baby is crying if it is distressed or just crying to cry (as young babies do because they can\'t speak to communicate?) LED Head
