Where would the light be on this design? At the start of the circular portion where the lamp shade starts? A light shining not only down, but also up and outwards through the shade would make for some interesting lighting effects. LED Head

Perhaps if the lamp was made out of a clear acrylic and was lit as well, there would be two sources of light, one for bright light and shadow casting the other for soft mood light and shadow reception... One casts light out the other casts light in. howman

I like the shape, but it doesn\'t use any advantage of led light technology : ( When I see it, I see nice designed bulb lamp which enough big and light construction for heat producing light resource. I think it\'s not really the best sample for this competition. Should it be is another question? Pekka

Congratulations on your idea moving forward into phase 2. I noticed you have six metal strands that form the base and a bunch of metal strands that form the lampshade. I am thinking we could use the strands for setting color levels and brightness levels and other options and use the metal lampshade to lock / unlock the functions. LED Head
