durica, great idea. Amazing play value... and learning potential too... If you make them so that each one has a sensor in it so that depending on how you arrange them together they will change colour to be the same, different or flash or transition it would be so cool... With 4 sides having the four options, then by standing them at 90 degrees to each other you could have them do something different. If you assemble a cube shape it could spin the colours around it\'s sides. There are so many possibilities... I would so want to work on this project, first because it would be fun to do and second becuase I would want the first set for my niece. howman
I really like this and the educational value of the idea. Maybe you could have color blending like red pieces plus blue pieces equal purples pieces or yellow pieces plus blue pieces equal greens pieces. It teaches color value and theory at an early age. Classic
this could be a new Froebel blocks system, just with transitioning colors Classic
I absolutly agree tivodul
Interesting concept, I am just wondering how to avoid putting a battery in each block as that would cause the blocks to get expensive fast. Maybe a master large block that the other blocks can plug into? Great idea though, I think this would have some great potential. LED Head
@ Classic - hmmm... The colour theory is a good idea... We have to remember that light colours mix differently than pigment colours... You don\'t want to confuse the child by teaching red and blue equals purple and when they grow up they realize that red light and blue light doesn\'t equal purple light... At early age development, little things like this stick in our minds and can hold for many years... I am sure there are silly little things we all still think are true but are not just because we learned them at an early age. howman
@LED Head - perhaps some form of motion electricity generation in each unit... give it a shake and it charges up enough for half an hour\'s play. howman
@LED Head - have you noticed how happy durica looks in her picture? I think she knows something we don\'t know. howman
Nice idea, Ill get one for my nice too! I think durica looks so happy because creativity makes you happy. I mean howman is smiling as well ;) diplomod
hmmm, I think we need a charging block, or maybe when all the blocks are placed together they charge themselves. you know like when playtime is over and u put all the blocks up they recharge...maybe? Classic
I like the charging block idea but it still means having batteries or capacitors in each block. To help keep costs down, I think there has to be some sort of central power scheme. LED Head
@LED Head - they could use some form of luminescent pigment in the material they are made from... perhaps some form of organism that feeds off the plant based polymer and gives off light as a byproduct... right, I\'ll work on the polymer, you get working on the organism. howman
@diplomod - I\'m happy because my creativity lets me work for myself and because I am creative... I think... howman
@LED Head: maybe it just glows then. maybe the shake charge system might work...children shake things all the time. Classic
Ooo men, thanks for comments and your thinking about puzzle. I´m not so good in electricity. I was thinking about 1 led ball in each block with small circle battery (I have no idea about voltages, ampers, watts and everythink else:). But my idea was about 1 packet with cca 12 puzzles, also getatable by 1 piece. It is olny on you, if you want to have lighting every piece or you select only few (what allows to play with more surprise feelings..whitch one will light after push?) For better luminance I think it is the mirror materal on the base and fly eye synthetic glass (the pyramids are down orientated to the mirror and smooth surface outside). durica
Puzzle we can use also after playing for all the night lighting in child-room. 2 puzzles are optimated by me. durica
To be happy you must know dolour-say somebody..I forget who..oops..but I think it´s not amenable to the children :) durica
very good idea... may create a generation of children as enthralled about light as yourself and myself! interactivity would make this into a very great idea! quasi
@Classic and @howman-to get the violet, green, orange or others, we can fabric laminate with various colours lines (1mm wide), for exemple red changes with blue=violet how you want to have ;) durica
simple, clear and very good for cultivating 3d imagination, and not expensive user not found
I think I may have an easy solution for power. Simply put a couple of metal tabs on each of the four sides, and there is one master block that has a battery and sends power out through the metal strips to power all of the other blocks! If all of the blocks were clear but squeezable, you could change colors by squeezing them. LED Head
@LED Head-It sounds well thought out. Does it function as well when I buy one piece only? And what about the children´s security? Or my :).. what will happen when I lick sth off the metal tab on one side? durica
although the metal tab is a simple solution, we have to remember how the children play with these toys. Everything goes into their mouth. wow durica we have quite the problem. maybe the original battery just screwed in might be best just for now...still thinking lol Classic
Thanx LED Head&Classic for your thinking.. durica
Great work durica. I agree with the other comments about potential educational value. This could represent a variation on shiftables (check out on google) triggering different interactive responses by connecting the pieces in different ways. user not found
@Martyn79-good to think of durica
ALL YOUR WORK IS SUPER CREATIVE AND BEAUTIFUL, ALL MY COMPLIMENTS!!! user not found
nice puzzles game, i like good idea jan
It would be cool if every piece also had a different sound so when you put them together they could create different melodies EID
Great idea, has a lot options to be used. you can not only play with it but also create your own lamp. I like products that gives the user a lot of option, although sometimes can get confusing, in this case it does not. Simple, useful, beautiful. user not found
thanx to all :)..@EID-melodies are good idea, but for me not in this case, because they should make something more complicated from this one PUZZLE LED as just simple polymorphous light how I wanted. durica
@durica - you can provide the pieces of the puzzle but you can not dictate what the final image will be. I think that letting people do what they want with your pieces doesn\'t take away from your idea but rather proves it as right. Your idea still stands like a tree in the forest. howman
@howman-sure..I don´t want to dictate a PUZZLE lamp form.. that´s the point of this idea, I just don´t want to add the different sounds into the pieces. My english is not well so I hope you understand now :). durica
great design:) user not found
i think children and adults will love this! great! user not found
This is a great toy for kids. I am sure this will be fun for kids to play with the lights and puzzle building creativity. user not found
