@Jan - if you mounted them on a heat sensitive plastic substrate, you should be able to mould them to 3-axis curved shapes. I could see these laminated onto a car or van for promotional use the same way they stick on the car wrap stickers.

As a vehicle wrap or outdoor wrap, if you could use wind to generate the minute electrical charge needed to illuminate these LED\'s that would be cool. I think you could work off an electrostatic type voltage generation, perhaps by having hairs on the fabric that through their movement in the wind create an electrostatic charge in the surface of the film.

Nice idea ... cool stuf ... I saw something like at Philips ... it is called Lumalive but I believe is really expensive and a top of the edge technology because you can only rent it from them. @flav_660029-I think you apprehend the jan´s idea the best of.Very creative work from jan I think.And very timelessly. I´m not sure if the Osram will have any affordable for it´s progress for not to be such expensive.It needs any big team of people from different brunches. Good luck :)

I saw this at lightfair and think it might be a little closer. The phillips thing is fabrics and I think the idea is for mats that are probably a little more robust and can stand up to damage.
