Yes, it is my own creation ;-) hartymd3
Interesting, how do you capture the mood of the person? howman
the color, because color can describe moods and emotions. Using Color thoery. Classic
Hey, back from your trip! Great new idea! diplomod
@Diplomod: Yep I\'m back. Thanks for the compliment. Classic
Classic, thank you for your kind words. I think it is important to give as much as you can to the design community... even if someone uses your idea, we all benefit from the advancement and have access to the derived works within our design language. Win-win situation. howman
thx for beginning to sound even better :).Your mood wall must look exclusively in great spaces, can be super one day have a desert and another north pole with polar shine durica

Congratulations Classic. Well done at the end there pushing hard for the finish... It looked like you might get beat out, but you came back and stole the win! Nice work. Now, Phase 2 and the playing field should be level again. howman
congratulations! Nazila
Congratulations! Looking forward to working with you in Phase 2! LED Head
Filtering by Phases is possible yet needs to be implemented. Will do so when possible. However, ideas for Phase II are marked with the orange background + as long as there is a manageable amount of phase II ideas, you can conveniently navigate through the site where selected ideas are displayed. diplomod
congratulations. howman

Sounds like a nice idea. The semantics of colors, brightnesses and the way the faze and combine can give really nice effects, im sure it would be quiet possible using quiet simple technology.
ChrisNatt
So its like a giant LED screen which can reproduce any kind of picture! Great! Maybe it shall be cheaper than TVs et ChrisNatt already mentioned there may be inexpensive technologies. I could also imagine to have some sort of community or at least a picture data base where you can download new LED emotion-wallpapers.
diplomod
@ChrisNatt: Yep its all about using the simple LED technology lol.
Classic
@Diplomod: Yea, you can download your pictures, there can be a data base for the system. Hey, I even believe that it CAN replace TV if set to a certain programming.
Classic
Nice. I would love to be able to change the wallpaper in my rooms that easily.
howman
@howman: well with this u can lol
Classic
I will say though it looks a lot like one of my ideas...\\oo/(-_-)\\oo/ the paint on TV... just without the TV part... what\'s that they say about great minds?
howman
Dude, awesome concept, I thought of a digital wallpaper a while ago, and I keep on dreaming, since today this size or OLED or similar screen would cost a serious arm and a leg. Once the cost of those screens becomes reasonable for common mortals, we\'ll go celebrate (would love to have a giant image of paradise island beach, or Yosemite view from glacier point)
giorgio789
We\'re getting close to Star Treck\'s Holodeck! Awesome!
diplomod
@howman: haha, there are always new possibilities
Classic
@giorgio789: thanks, think about it with a view like that from your house who needs a vacation haha.
Classic
@diplomod:Star Trek\'s Holodeck...that..would be an experience.
Classic
To keep the costs down, maybe something like paint that only illuminates at certain wavelengths...and it is a do it yourself kit that has some stencils. I picture the wall being white with no lights on, if I turn on a red led, I get one picture, if I light it with blue I get another and so on. Maybe you could even have two or more lights on to combine scenes...
LED Head
@diplomod - there was a project at the University of Montreal, I think it was, back in the early 90\'s called \"The Cave\" that used 6 projectors and a computer with a joystick to control motion and it was like the holodeck.
howman
@Classic - Yes of course. I wasn\'t implying that it was identical or anything, just the same. I think it would be great to be able to go into home depot and buy rolls of this stuff the same as wallpaper and be able to download your pattern as you saw fit. It would be great for theme parties, or Halloween or Winter Holidays, or that Toga party you throw every year. Just point, click and by the Power of Greyskull your wall changes.
howman
@howman: oh no, your fine. I didn\'t think that you were implying anything. I knew that yours was a tv and after diplomod made a statement, I had a thought that maybe it could be a tv as well. I just thought about the mood you can have by using colors but instead of it just being a color, it was an actual environment. a fake delineation of walls. bringing the outside in, if it was possible maybe it could be a tv haha. yours was all tv lol. mines maybe. But thanks for clearing it up.
Classic
@Classic - I like the idea of bringing the outside inside. That whole mural thing on a wall so that it looks like there is no wall... would be pretty cool to see a whole wall beside a window displaying the scene outside exactly matching the window frame so that it looks like you have a window over the whole wall... of course a window would be cheaper. lol.
howman
@howman: it would be cheaper to have just a window, but think about it...I don\'t live in the mountains or directly on the ocean, but I would love the view. so turning on the lights when you want to set a certain mood is cheaper then traveling especially when you dont have the funds. lol

Just read an article in the latest issue of LED Magazine, about organic LED\'s. This might be useful to backlight this, according to the article Th e unique features of OLED lighting are
inspiring the imagination of designers, who
are exploring various OLED lighting applications:
windows, curtains, automotive light,
decorative lighting, and wallpaper.
LED Head
Wow, really? Its not out yet is it or are they just exploring the ideas of it?
Classic
I can imagien it suiting better to public places like bars, restaurants to cerate a certain ambiance.
bahars
I can imagine it suiting better to public places like bars, restaurants to cerate a certain ambiance.
bahars
@bahars: I\'m so sure about better suited in the pulic place, but I definitly see the application of it being there creating ambiance.
Classic
@LED Head... 7... This would be great in apartments, institutions, or classrooms. Anywhere you would use a large display.
howman
this is just a big television right?
Jehan
@Jehan: no, its not a big television, but maybe has a possibility and capability to be one. Its more like a painting that can change scenes as it stands now. I see more possibilities for it though.
