Idea Details
nuub - solar lamp for outdoor path illumination
Description
This idea is about...
Comments
Interesting idea. I would recommend placing the solar cells in the neck / body area of the lamp because in climates where you get snow, once the base is covered by snow the solar panel would not work.
LED Head
What I do like about it is that I have no idea how big it is, but it still looks good... It could be a street light or a night light but the form is well played. I am in agreement with LED Head that the solar panels should be on the neck of the lamp and not the base.

It looks very elegant, a little futuristic - great work. The concept also makes good sense. I agree with you guys that placing the solar panels on the neck/body area. Just I think its supposed to be flexible. Is that possible with solar panels?

Sure, you can get flexible solar panels, or you can use lots of little ones and make it sectional.
howman
There is plenty of flexible solar panel technology already in commercial use so the flexibility issue should be easily addressable.
LED Head
Hi everyone thanks for your comments: just take a look at all the slides, there you can see a picture of the blendable solar panels, also the LEDS are in the TOP of the lamp they illuminate towards the bottom, the batteries are in the bottom cos this gives strength and weight to the object, probably in extreme weathers will be necessary to make some modifications, although its easier to place this product in areas where you have plenty of sunlight all year long, the scale its not confronted, because it can be made on different scales for different targets, in any case it works!!!, thanks
