Welcome - great idea! diplomod
thank you. howman
Thank you! Nazila
thx ;-) interesting design hartymd3
Thank you.your Ideas are wonderful!I will use your opinions. Nazila
:) thx durica
the visualizations that come with media players just measure the amplitude of the sound, with this it detects the tone and the color depicts the emotions in the person. If someone is upset then the color changes, if the person is relaxed while speaking the color changes. Classic
the color, because color can describe moods and emotions. Using Color thoery. Classic
Thanks! ChrisNatt
Hey, I wanted to tell you personally that I really like your approach to the ideas of lighting. I really appreciate the thought put into each idea and the feedback that you give to other people. Good Job! Classic
Yea, everytime I read a critique by you its always very good and people can take alot from it. I think that is very important. Even your ideas has a nice asthetic aspect but yet the concept behind the idea very strong Classic
Thanks howman, great idea about making them fly/change color - now if you could only make\'em levitate silently, for $4.99/piece, you\'d probably get a Nobel prize :)) giorgio789
Soon! love the new concept by the way. ChrisNatt
Thanks alot. Nazila
thank you very much for your feedback! Pri
Perfect!I think about that. Nazila
Hey thank you! I see you have a good bunch of project here, very interesting. keep up the good work! steste
Thanks for letting me know the bugs - I am working on it! diplomod
@steste - thanks. howman
@diplomod - no problem... the design changes are really good. howman
I have noticed, and it isn\'t a huge problem, that when I do a detailed evaluation, in the sorting section, projects I have not viewed or evaluated are offered for sorting. I don\'t mind it, but it is a disservice to the designer as I can not evaluate a design I have not viewed against one I am viewing, so these designs tend to be ranked low in the sorting. This is something to take into consideration when finalizing the weight of the sorted evaluation in judging. howman
good photo! :) Kris
I started typing a lot, but could be summed up as you have some great ideas of your own and invaluable insight into those of others. riddickuliss
Photos of children! and yours too! Kris
ok..DON\'T PANIC..:) durica
thx for your advice..I can´t manage without ;D durica
nice compliment from you, thx, I like your direction of mind in yours ideas durica
Howman Thanks for the comment. The system does not work with the brake pressure, is independent and its achieved by the activating sensors that according to the distance of a car behind it, the lights get dimmer or brighter. HelferDesign
Thank you that you show me how much somebody need the interaction :) durica
Love your innovative designs! I hope some of them make it onto the market one day Jak
I like your idea. But I wonder if superimposing the therapeutic light on the screen will reduce the available contrast ratio of the display? Maybe the auxiliary light could be around the edge of the screen instead of overlaying it. howard
Yes... you have lots of good ideas. Did you even one of these ideas into reality?
@skilleder - None of these have been put into prototype as of yet. The point of these ideas is for the community to help develop them and to push the boundaries of what is possible with todays and tomorrows technology. Some of my ideas are far future and others are more possible with todays technology. If you notice, just about every idea I present is not a product solution but an underlying technology which can be used in many products. My goal is not to develop something that can be sold quick and easy but rather to inspire and provide a tool set for others to develop products from. I have said it before somewhere here, but I have no real desire to create the music player but rather the music file, to use a parallel. I also address the emotional aspect of each idea in a situation in order to illustrate one possible affective application. howman
Hallo Howman, Thank you for your comment. But I don«t understand \"We have 8 Ladies and Gentleman...\".
Does it mean eight ideas about fabric?
Please help me
 burk
Hi howman. Here is my suggestion of how the goggle would detect the mood. Reading a few articles I came to know that our eye color changes with our mood. So placing a color sensor in the goggle would detect the color of the eye that indirectly reflects our mood. Now according to the color detected the goggle would change the color correspondingly as stated before. Thx for your suggestion, ya for application in certain situations where we want the reverse thing to happen we would change the goggle to more aggressive color, in way to heighten the sense of person wearing it, put them on edge and make them more aggressive. Here instead of relaxing mode we would rather have violent mode. Hope u get Me.! pavithrabvs
Appreciate your scientific approach here, there and everywhere! Pretty cool site you have here. I like your text comments. You have my vote, for sure. http://scottfisher.multiply.com/photos Scott Alias Steven Hawkens Knoxville, Tennessee http://player.cumulusstreaming.com/SLPLayer.aspx?KFOG-FM scottfisher
@howman:ha ha.. you probably cannot swap out the lights as you may have to return your bands back to your teachers and you are not allowed to take it back. ya i agree with you, the teacher can also be made to wear a one as we can find how well the teacher has understood the concept....i dont understand /*Fitting that the OP used images of South Park\\\'s classroom...*/ pavithrabvs
Thanks for your feed back had undertaken initial research and hadn\'t found anything similar. Still think that the idea could be further developed.appreciate your comments though. lindaexmoor
LOL - no i have no day/night off...;) u probably familiar with the inflamed imagination disease:) or u asking this because of the beauty saloon treatment with LEDhead involved? ;) anyHOW - wanted to tell u THANKS for all your comments and support. Eva
ah, just couple of days more and then we probably get some LED rest.. Eva
hoLEDay... Eva
Hi Howman. Thanks for your kind explanation. Now I see better your point of view :) petra
Wow..u r really a creative person. Good ideas! And thanks for ur comments. Eva Shi
didn\'t intend to upset u;) we can always switch to bags... Eva
LOL - lucky bag just have a single phase... Eva
Hello howman. I want to thank you for you comments. Guys like you make this competition successfull. Thank you and god luck with brilliant ideas in so many different areas. burk
Hola Howman, Thanks for your comments. make this contest much fun. Never work alone especially in design field. expect to hear you more ..cheers yichun17
Congratulations!you won! Nazila
Hello Howman, also congratulations from me. what a big surprize ;) burk
hi howman, congrats!!!!!you won! yeah you really deserve it.... pavithrabvs
The invisible friend, always punctual in the Commentary, TRINKSPRUCH with wine. Congratulations by the first place. HelferDesign
Congrats! Looking forward to working with you on Phase 2! LED Head
Thanks LED Head. I look forward to the next part too. howman
Great lightnings - but one question - which computer-software do you use to produce the images? horizon

Idea Details
Reed Lights configureable and connectable
contributed to: Lallang Wind Lights
Description
This contribution to the Lallang Wind Lights extends the idea.

The proposal I have made here creates the reeds in a six sided base that contains two magnets on each side and a number of control-power contacts. Numbers of these could be placed together in numerous configurations each one powering the next and controlling the next.

The bases are made from CIP Technology(1) allowing for immersion in water, or harsh outdoor climates. It would also contain a heavy foot plate to keep the device anchored. Each reed insert point would contain a sealed RGB LED bulb with an integral lens and pressure sensor. Each reed is comprised of SKP(2), with a frosted exterior to help transmit light out he sides. It should also be flexible to a point where minimal wind would allow for movement. The pressure sensor would read movement and be able to adjust the light on each rod individually, or all rods at once based on the movement, if this setting is chosen by the user.

Each rod is easily removable for cleaning or service and should, in the best case scenario be able to come apart for easy shipping, storage and configuration by the user.

The devices are powered by an external power supply which is connected in the same way using magnets.

A starter set of three units comes packaged with a simple remote control which allows for control of colour, intensity and on-off functions as well as has a simple timer to turn the lights off after a certain set time.

An advanced set comes with a build in wireless connection that allows for control of the lights from a wireless computer system for more functionality.

Sets of 3, 5 or 9 add on units would also be available. Bases would also be available in multitudes of colours for different applications and decors. Rods could be made in multitudes of shapes to suit different applications and decors.

A secondary line of add on products could also be made available including: Step connectors in a number of lengths to allow for the installation of units over uneven ground or up stairs. Blank blocks for spacing units. Angle connectors. Tilt connectors. Amongst others.

You thought about pretty much everything - great work (again) :) I especially like the fact that in your concept, you can take the single reeds for shipping and e.g. cleaning - something I was worried about as such a device may turn out to be a dust collector after some time. diplomod
Very well thoughtout, but they don\'t look that flexible. Classic
@ Classic - that is be cause there in no wind... lol... howman
Check out the wireless power information I posted, if the center base was the power source, the six additional bases could be inductively powered from the central base. LED Head
I couldn\'t find anything on the link that speaks to how much current this technology can carry, since it is a screen printing process, I think the amount of power the technology can handle is going to be limited versus traditional copper circuit boards, but since these are L.E.D. products we are talking about it might not be an issue, I just am not sure how much power that technology can handle. LED Head
Right, a single unit could conceivably provide power to each of the other units. I figure that the voltages they are aiming for are in the lines of a cell phone, mp3 player, watch etc. I doubt right now they are trying to develop 115 or 220 volt systems. howman
Sorry to say that ;but I think that you just mix some previous phase 1 ideas in your design: You put down on the floor ceiling \"Cell project\"\"-magnets links + \"Dry wall led panel\"-hexagonal pattern led device-my own design idea;that you comment just look as art not seeing it as a device and mix all together; just like musicians do sampling parts of recognizable music hits the result is nor the original music itself but only a remind mix version of it -and as final design -adding this previous ideas to Lalang wind lights. Alexandre Oberda
@ Alexandre - well yeh... that is what design is all about, putting together previously unrelated ideas into a single useful device that fits in with the social understanding of current needs. The point of Phase 2 as far as I could tell was to improve on the ideas moved forward, so of course I would take the best, and most relevant suggested ideas and combine them within my contribution... If no one ever used prior art, nothing would ever be made. If you are contesting my ability to create original ideas, I dare say you should take a short stroll down the left column under the messages to me and look at some of my idea submissions from phase 1. If there are any you should like to discuss further, please feel free to comment here and I will do my best to have an open dialogue with you on them. howman
howman, I see you are making more friends haha Classic
