thank you. howman
Thank you! Nazila
thx ;-) interesting design hartymd3
Thank you.your Ideas are wonderful!I will use your opinions. Nazila
:) thx durica
the visualizations that come with media players just measure the amplitude of the sound, with this it detects the tone and the color depicts the emotions in the person. If someone is upset then the color changes, if the person is relaxed while speaking the color changes. Classic
the color, because color can describe moods and emotions. Using Color thoery. Classic
Thanks! ChrisNatt
Hey, I wanted to tell you personally that I really like your approach to the ideas of lighting. I really appreciate the thought put into each idea and the feedback that you give to other people. Good Job! Classic
Yea, everytime I read a critique by you its always very good and people can take alot from it. I think that is very important. Even your ideas has a nice asthetic aspect but yet the concept behind the idea very strong Classic
Thanks howman, great idea about making them fly/change color - now if you could only make\'em levitate silently, for $4.99/piece, you\'d probably get a Nobel prize :)) giorgio789
Soon! love the new concept by the way. ChrisNatt
Thanks alot. Nazila
thank you very much for your feedback! Pri
Perfect!I think about that. Nazila
Hey thank you! I see you have a good bunch of project here, very interesting. keep up the good work! steste
Thanks for letting me know the bugs - I am working on it! diplomod
@steste - thanks. howman
@diplomod - no problem... the design changes are really good. howman
I have noticed, and it isn\'t a huge problem, that when I do a detailed evaluation, in the sorting section, projects I have not viewed or evaluated are offered for sorting. I don\'t mind it, but it is a disservice to the designer as I can not evaluate a design I have not viewed against one I am viewing, so these designs tend to be ranked low in the sorting. This is something to take into consideration when finalizing the weight of the sorted evaluation in judging. howman
good photo! :) Kris
I started typing a lot, but could be summed up as you have some great ideas of your own and invaluable insight into those of others. riddickuliss
Photos of children! and yours too! Kris
ok..DON\'T PANIC..:) durica
thx for your advice..I can´t manage without ;D durica
nice compliment from you, thx, I like your direction of mind in yours ideas durica
Howman Thanks for the comment. The system does not work with the brake pressure, is independent and its achieved by the activating sensors that according to the distance of a car behind it, the lights get dimmer or brighter. HelferDesign
Thank you that you show me how much somebody need the interaction :) durica
Love your innovative designs! I hope some of them make it onto the market one day Jak
I like your idea. But I wonder if superimposing the therapeutic light on the screen will reduce the available contrast ratio of the display? Maybe the auxiliary light could be around the edge of the screen instead of overlaying it. howard
Yes... you have lots of good ideas. Did you even one of these ideas into reality?
@skilleder - None of these have been put into prototype as of yet. The point of these ideas is for the community to help develop them and to push the boundaries of what is possible with todays and tomorrows technology. Some of my ideas are far future and others are more possible with todays technology. If you notice, just about every idea I present is not a product solution but an underlying technology which can be used in many products. My goal is not to develop something that can be sold quick and easy but rather to inspire and provide a tool set for others to develop products from. I have said it before somewhere here, but I have no real desire to create the music player but rather the music file, to use a parallel. I also address the emotional aspect of each idea in a situation in order to illustrate one possible affective application. howman
Hallo Howman, Thank you for your comment. But I don«t understand \"We have 8 Ladies and Gentleman...\".
Does it mean eight ideas about fabric?
Please help me

Hi howman. Here is my suggestion of how the goggle would detect the mood. Reading a few articles I came to know that our eye color changes with our mood. So placing a color sensor in the goggle would detect the color of the eye that indirectly reflects our mood. Now according to the color detected the goggle would change the color correspondingly as stated before. Thx for your suggestion, ya for application in certain situations where we want the reverse thing to happen we would change the goggle to more aggressive color, in way to heighten the sense of person wearing it, put them on edge and make them more aggressive. Here instead of relaxing mode we would rather have violent mode. Hope u get Me.! pavithrabvs
Appreciate your scientific approach here, there and everywhere! Pretty cool site you have here. I like your text comments. You have my vote, for sure. http://scottfisher.multiply.com/photos Scott Alias Steven Hawkens Knoxville, Tennessee http://player.cumulusstreaming.com/SLPLayer.aspx?KFOG-FM scottfisher
@howman:ha ha.. you probably cannot swap out the lights as you may have to return your bands back to your teachers and you are not allowed to take it back. ya i agree with you, the teacher can also be made to wear a one as we can find how well the teacher has understood the concept....i dont understand /*Fitting that the OP used images of South Park\\\'s classroom...*/ pavithrabvs
Thanks for your feed back had undertaken initial research and hadn\'t found anything similar. Still think that the idea could be further developed.appreciate your comments though. lindaexmoor
LOL - no i have no day/night off...;) u probably familiar with the inflamed imagination disease:) or u asking this because of the beauty saloon treatment with LEDhead involved? ;) anyHOW - wanted to tell u THANKS for all your comments and support. Eva
ah, just couple of days more and then we probably get some LED rest.. Eva
hoLEDay... Eva
Hi Howman. Thanks for your kind explanation. Now I see better your point of view :) petra

Thanks LED Head. I look forward to the next part too. howman
Great lightnings - but one question - which computer-software do you use to produce the images? horizon

Control mechanism for ball and feature expansion
contributed to: Chromatic Ball
Description
This contribution deals with how to control the light using the ball as a controller.

I propose it be set up much like a track ball mouse except having one more position sensor. These sensors could be either standard mechanical devices or optical based using a UV LED as to not affect the light\'s colour.

It should also have a USB connection and bluetooth connectivity for use as a remote control or so it can be controlled by any bluetooth enabled device such as a smart phone or x10 home control system.

The ball is lit up through diffusion by shining a RGB LED at the bottom of the ball. Using the material suggested in my other contribution, the light would make the whole ball glow.

A lens would help to diffuse the light and cast an even light throughout the balls surface.

To control the light a user would:
Roll the ball towards or away from them to adjust the saturation.
Roll the ball left to right to adjust the luminosity.
Pan the ball around it\'s central axis to adjust the hue.

These control motions would have to be researched through user testing to see which would be the best starting point. As the device would have a USB connection, the user would be able to customize what motions performed what action.

The base through electro-transmission would act as a touch on-off switch. Touching anywhere on the base would turn the light on or off. This feature should be timed so an accidental touch would not cause undesirable results.

Further development could be made to the ball so it could reflect input from someones private on line accounts. In this scenario, things such as Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, e-mail both on line and home based, text messages phone calls etc could be relayed to the user through the use of colour.

There could also be development to see the incorporation of colour codification of a users day timer to show in colour how busy their day would be.

Okay, I am just a little confused here and need some clarification. Is the ball meant to be picked up in order to change things or is that the ball remains stationary? It needs to be clarified as it changes how this needs to be approached. I was under the assumption that the base was for charging and display, but the unit itself would be picked up to do all the other functions. Thanks. LED Head
the ball is just as it would be if it were a track ball mouse... the ball remains in the base. howman
The drawing is a section drawing showing the inner workings of the device. howman
