What colour is the substance and how does it affect the \"resulting\" colour of the whole installation? Could you also use coloured light? Anyway: Wanna have. diplomod
Looks great. Christian
... the color is created by the canvas. There are a few LED Strips, which lets the canvas glow. No, this is only for \"daylight\" but installing colors is not a problem. Maybe one mode for less light would be good ;-) hartymd3
PS: color of the substance is warm-white just normal canvas hartymd3
interesting. is it based on the electro luminescent paper technology? I saw sheets of it in colour in Japan years ago. It was pretty cool stuff but required an almost laminated coating. I was working on a product at a company called Electro-luminescent flat panels, which was a paper that glowed but it was sandwiched between two layers of glass with a gas inserted at low atmosphere. howman
:-) no, it is not based on \"electroluminescent paper technology\" ... you can call it a \"fake of electroluminescent paper technology\" ...no, joke I used normal LEDs ;-) hartymd3
interesting. how is this different then general lighting of similar sorts. user not found
Might want to consider using OLED technology for this. Interesting article in the June 2009 LED Magazine. Th e unique features of OLED lighting are inspiring the imagination of designers, who are exploring various OLED lighting applications: windows, curtains, automotive light, decorative lighting, and wallpaper. Thats 6... The paper you are talking about is called e-paper if I am not mistaken... It was developed at MIT\'s Media Lab about 10 years ago as a way to creat flexible sinage. howman
Or maybe add some muscle wire and the light can go from being flat as shown to different shapes, like one of the other submissions by the same designer? LED Head
Again, the muscle wire, if it is what I think it is, is not of public quality yet... There has to be a way of doing what you suggest though... I like the idea of movable light. howman
Autosplice makes it. It has a certain percentage contraction over length so the longer the length the longer it can contract. LED Head
