That looks really cool - I assume these are photos, so you realized this one for yourself, did you? I can imagine an according product could be quite simple - maybe you could add to the description how you assemble it, would be really interesting.

I like the blue one the most.
Christian
Yes, all these constructions are for my flat ;-)
hartymd3
Is this the same product as the other one just a different application of the technology? Interesting usage though.
howman
yes, the same kind to create unique ceilings ;-)
hartymd3
Thanks - I know it\'s not too complicated ;) Seriously, what I like is that you use materials which are designated to other purposes just because it does the trick.

It would be interesting if they could integrate the LED module into the fabric, so if you take the fabric down the lights come with it. Only other thing I see that sticks out from a commercial aspect, is make sure that material is FIREPROOF, I am pretty sure this would be a requirement for liability as well as things like Underwriters Laboratory approval. Looks great!

Might want to consider using OLED technology for this. Interesting article in the June 2009 LED Magazine. Th e unique features of OLED lighting are inspiring the imagination of designers, who are exploring various OLED lighting applications: windows, curtains, automotive light, decorative lighting, and wallpaper

Thats 5 times... I agree on the fireproof problem, but with such low power and amperage, it shouldn\'t be an issue.
howman
Not a fire from the light itself, but if there was a fire in the room, you would not want this to become an ignition source.
LED Head
I don\'t think that the LED\'s create enough heat to generate a fire... I am sure that if it went into production they would be insulated to some extent to avoid this.
howman
Just like lampshades have a whole bunch of tests they have to go through, if this was to get UL approval, the material would undergo testing. Remember that concert in that small bar where all those people died? Unnapproved sound dampening materials which were highly flammable were used.
