This has been done already. Just google ballon lights. However, the ones I have seen don\'t really have any interactivity to do things like shake the balloon and change the color and so on. Maybe add those functions? LED Head

LED Head - OSRAM should set up this contest long time age... i did see smth on the net. but may be i can add some more ideas - like changing lights as u say and also it could have some interesting shape, a heart or a star for instance. Eva

hello eva. I am still smiling because of your led-head. regarding to you balloled: I won a competition with a ballon lamp for kids many years ago (I am getting old;-)). My lamp was designed for kids on their way to shool. To combine safety and playing. But that was without LED. I think LED is perfect for this idea. May be you can adapt the LED on the outside of the ballon and the lightbeam goes inside. In that way it is easier to fill the ballon with air and you can use it also for ballons filled with gas. burk
