Interesting, how do you capture the mood of the person? howman
the color, because color can describe moods and emotions. Using Color thoery. Classic
Hey, back from your trip! Great new idea! diplomod
@Diplomod: Yep I\'m back. Thanks for the compliment. Classic
Classic, thank you for your kind words. I think it is important to give as much as you can to the design community... even if someone uses your idea, we all benefit from the advancement and have access to the derived works within our design language. Win-win situation. howman
thx for beginning to sound even better :).Your mood wall must look exclusively in great spaces, can be super one day have a desert and another north pole with polar shine durica

Congratulations Classic. Well done at the end there pushing hard for the finish... It looked like you might get beat out, but you came back and stole the win! Nice work. Now, Phase 2 and the playing field should be level again. howman

Congratulations! Looking forward to working with you in Phase 2! LED Head
Filtering by Phases is possible yet needs to be implemented. Will do so when possible. However, ideas for Phase II are marked with the orange background + as long as there is a manageable amount of phase II ideas, you can conveniently navigate through the site where selected ideas are displayed. diplomod
congratulations. howman

Cool idea Classic!
diplomod
Thanks. I appreciate that.
Classic
It\'s all about making your light any way you want it! good idea
quasi
yea, but its much more than that. It can be used for interior or exterior. Used for a primary function or as decoration!
Classic
would be interesting to see an image of what you feel would fulfil all three of those areas.
howman
Im not sure if it will be based on how one feels or the mood one would like to set and feel. I\'m personally thinking the latter. To where one can set the mood. Have cool spaces or warms spaces to their liking. Im working on sketches and drawings. I\'ve been having issues w/ my software.
Classic
Go ahead classic! I also agree to put the light FOR the mood you want to have is more easy than having the light adjusted TO your mood. Yet their may be possibilities...
diplomod
Cool drawings! They provide a nice overview of your idea!
diplomod
Thanks, I was kinda worried about the conveyance of the idea. I\'m glad that it portrays the idea well.

Any lighting (indirectly) could somewhat appeal to certain moods, but this one is a functional solution rather than appealing to different moods.
bahars
All of my designs are focused on the functional solution. The emotional aspect is dependent on the scale and mostly the indoor applications. The outdoor applications depend on how the product it used. The outdoor canopy idea can be applied in different ways, \'no company, we want privacy\' Lighting for a party. Then the question becomes, whats the theme of the party? How would one want to effect the patrons of the party? So, through every idea I have the design is based on the fuctionality of the product. Will this idea work? How? Who? and Why? These are the questions I ask myself in the beginning. I like you comment though. Thank you.

I really like the concept of a flexible light rod. It would come in handy in so many different situations where you need light in more than one place at a time... I think mechanics would love this device as long as you made it very durable and easy to wipe down without getting scratched... If you could turn off lights on one or more parts of the devices circumference that would clinch it.
howman
@howman: I understand what your saying. I will try in the next phase if I make it lol

I think GE has some light rods that I saw at Lightfair in NYC in May, they were bendable for signage applications. Don\'t know if they have patents on it or not, I think they may have some pending.
LED Head
There was some flexible clear rubber out there a while back... It wasn\'t very clear, but I think they may have developed better stuff since I last saw it... with a thin-ish piece of metal in the middle you would be set.
howman
This stuff I saw was field bendable and you could rebend it, so if a sign was being recycled, the lights could be reused.
LED Head
@LED Head and howman: what are you two cooking up?
