Great job durica.., your creation just make me wonder...,so cool so innovative. and well,it seems to be that by the near future the mother earth would be flooded by LED\'s productions ...did any institution has examined that producing it is not harm for the environment!! tootje
Durica, you did it again... very nice. I wonder if you could make a version that is charged by the static electricity or the mechanical action of opening and closing it...? I really like the fact that you moved away from the square solar cell and explored it as part of the design. howman
thank you both @howman- :) I switch on/off my ,,Egg light pocket storage,, by the mechanical action of opening and closing it. ..power point I used..but the static electricity, I must study something about this, but it´s appeal if it could work safety and cheap, I don´t know now. durica
I can\'t remember where I saw something about creating electricity through having two different materials as separate halves of a Velcro type setup. The action of pulling them apart created an electrical current... I think it works on the same principle as duct tape... Try this at home kids... Get some duct tape, turn off all the lights and stick the tape to it\'s self, sticky side to sticky side, and then pull it apart... you will see static electricity... little sparks where the tape is being pulled apart. Very cool... It may not be very dramatic, I think it depends on how dry the air is. The dryer the air the more you see the effect. howman
I know produce static el. variously, just don´t know if it is safety. Visual effects are cool, but I don´t know if I won´t damage something with it. I should need a brain of Tesla for the answer :) durica
I dont think static would hold enough of an electrical potential to keep these lit very long. Solar could be used to charge small batteries. I like the cut able option - it is just like they use in LED strip lighting now. LED Head
