Welcome LED Head! diplomod
if that is the case if ur yelling the amplitude would be high and if your happy the color would be yellow. if ur speaking softly and ur upset the amplitude would be low and the would be red. something of that sort. Good question though. Classic
Hey, I just wanted to tell you that you give great feedback. All of your comments are on point. Good Job! Classic
and another profile pic! Smiling as well - so it\'s true creativity makes happy ;) diplomod
Always! I have found that creative people for the most part are a happy bunch. That was an outside in the warm spring cooking picture. Cooking is my other passion. LED Head
Hello LED Head, Thanks for your advice about the LED Magazine article. I allready downloaded the pdf and will read it. Thanks!! burk
Wow, really? Its not out yet is it or are they just exploring the ideas of it? Classic
Thank you! Nazila
LED Head, why don´t you have a name OLED Head :)? durica
I have been following the OLED thing Durica and I recommend ledsmagazine, led-professional.com and ledjournal.com if you are interested in seeing what is happening. OLED\'s are really coming along! You have some great ideas that fit in really nice with that technology. LED Head
That\'s an idea! I do like the futuristic chess board Kings Knight 1 to kings rook 3 Thanks... scottfisher
ha ha.... any way it would be helpful for your teachers to find out whether you are active or not...so you cant cheat them telling that you understood the concept. pavithrabvs
here is the link where i found that a led glass is used to overcome jet lag. http://www.geekytraveller.com/fight-jet-lag-with-futuristic-led-glasses/ pavithrabvs
Thanks for the link LED Head
Thanks for your input! I didnt know photon boards, very cool. Love the pictures. However, my idea is quite different cause it is a flexible, movable light and not build in like the photon boards. So my idea can potentially be extended to other boarding and rolling devices. Not to mention the whole context of my idea and all the potential implementations I described go way beyond that. Read through my description text. Thanks LEDricc
LED HEAD-Congratulations!! pavithrabvs
Congratulations by the deserved award. HelferDesign
Congratulations LED Head. For all the fun banter back and forth, the competition from you to push harder was welcome. I look forward to Phase 2 and the challenge of having to come up with technical solutions to rival yours. Best luck. howman
congrats and best wishes to you :) durica
congratulations! Nazila
Thanks to everyone for a really great level of participation, sorry for the late reply, I was on (believe it or not)a short vacation. Now I am rested and ready for Phase 2! LED Head
:Yep. Phase 2 here we come. howman
Hi! The activity counters have been reseted though the number of your evaluations and ideas are displayed from both phases. We\'ll have a note added so its clear! Thanks for the hint!! diplomod
Winning ideas have not been necessarily chosen for phase II - only chromatic ball has been chosen with some questions. Thanks for asking! diplomod
congratulations. howman

21st Century Chess Board
Description
Okay,

To change it up a little bit, this won\'t be a boring description, I will do it like you would hear it on one of those annoying infomercials late at night...

Look! A lighted chess board! So what is the big deal you say? Well you can program in your own colors to your chess pieces. You could also set up a different color scheme for the chess board instead of that old boring black and white color.

But wait! There\'s more! The chess pieces can be intelligent and warn you of impending doom from your opponent! The pieces can change various colors, when they can tell they are going to be attacked 4, or 3 or 2 or 1 move out. Maybe when they are one move away from being attacked they turn red. This is one half of the intelligence of this chess board.

The other half is the HELP ME! function, which when you invoke it, it will suggest the possible safe moves for that chess piece by lighting up the various safe squares on the board.

These two intelligence features will help keep kids and older people who have never played chess but want to learn interested in the game!

Don\'t have anyone to play chess with because nobody you know likes to play? No problem! Download one of hundreds of thousands of games via usb to the unit and play the game at your leisure. Take an hour, a day, or a week to complete.

But wait! There\'s more! Now that the game is done, store the chess pieces off of the board and use the board as an LED light! Plug it into your Ipod for a cool visual effect. Program visual effects into the unit via USB.

But wait! There is more! If you call our informercial operators right now, we will also throw in Checker pieces that have the similar functions to the chess pieces, just pay separate shipping and handling! DON\'T DELAY! ORDER TODAY! CHRISTMAS IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!

(LOL!)

How\'s that for a change up in presentation?

Ha ha ha... It should have been done all in CAPS Billy Mays... lol... I kinda thought half the challenge with chess was reading the board... doesn\'t it defeat that purpose if the pieces turn red when threatened... I really like the idea that you can change the colour of your set.... I can\'t stand the standard black and white... Why not Orange and Blue, or Fuchsia and Lime? I wonder if you could make it so that the pieces are not really pieces but holograms projected above the board like those science disks that you put a penny in and you try to grab it off the surface but it isn\'t there... Perhaps you could do that using light... howman
oh dear... bahars
Howman - I bet I know where you got the hologram idea from...remember this scene from Star Wars? http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:Dejarik_Falcon.jpg LED Head
That\'s the one. lol. howman
ha ha.. so i dont need a master to teach me chess...lol. pavithrabvs
Exactly, no master needed and you can play at your own pace. If you want to take a break from learning, store the pieces, use the board for a nice light and then set it back up and continue. LED Head
As it is electronic, the board could remember your game and play it back or show you with light where your pieces belong so you could continue a game later... howman
Ooooh. There\'s gonna have to be little sensors within each piece, tuned different \"frequencies.\" I could also imagine an LED \'grid\' on the board that shows \"arrows\" when the player asks for move recommendations. laZardo
