Interesting. I like the movement associated with these... I am sure in the breeze they would rotate really nicely.... There are similar things without the lights here that are made from aluminum and are just decoration for the wind... I like the light aspect of this one. howman
I am wondering what kind of light would be thrown and what effects you could get if the individual rings has led\'s on them... LED Head
If the rings were made from clear acrylic you could light the edges of them from a central LED... or OLED ;P... then you wouldn\'t use as many lights or as much power... You could then us tri-colour LED\'s and have infinite adjustability... well 256 levels of adjustability and 16,777,216 colours if you only use simple RGB with no decimal places in the code... howman

I\'m thinking if the led\'s were on the surface instead of side lit, as the individual rings spin around each other, the lights would bounce of adjacent rings and disperse interesting light patterns onto the walls. LED Head
