Blooming Flower
Description
The Blooming Flower lamp is an interactive one. We can open or close the petals of the flower in order to obtain different types of lighting (from directional to diffuse lighting).

Each petal of the lamp has a white led and, in the center, the Blooming Flower may have RGB LEDs or colored LEDs. In the first case the RGB LEDs change their colors at the same time we open the petals of the lamp.

I like the interactivity. There are plenty of touch sensor integrated circuits that would allow inexpensive touch sensing. LED Head

I like the idea and the fact that it is able to change colour and shape. howman
@diplomod - perhaps if it was not sheets of material with LED\'s on them, but rather a framework of wires covered in a flexible material then the material would take a softer shape as it changed in the same way an umbrella looks... howman

As long as the edges are broken (a term meaning to round them over) and free from burrs, I don\'t see an issue with it being sharp, there are many things we already use on a daily basis that have metal edges and don\'t cut people. LED Head
