Welcome - great idea! diplomod
thank you. howman
Thank you! Nazila
thx ;-) interesting design hartymd3
Thank you.your Ideas are wonderful!I will use your opinions. Nazila
:) thx durica
the visualizations that come with media players just measure the amplitude of the sound, with this it detects the tone and the color depicts the emotions in the person. If someone is upset then the color changes, if the person is relaxed while speaking the color changes. Classic
the color, because color can describe moods and emotions. Using Color thoery. Classic
Thanks! ChrisNatt
Hey, I wanted to tell you personally that I really like your approach to the ideas of lighting. I really appreciate the thought put into each idea and the feedback that you give to other people. Good Job! Classic
Yea, everytime I read a critique by you its always very good and people can take alot from it. I think that is very important. Even your ideas has a nice asthetic aspect but yet the concept behind the idea very strong Classic
Thanks howman, great idea about making them fly/change color - now if you could only make\'em levitate silently, for $4.99/piece, you\'d probably get a Nobel prize :)) giorgio789
Soon! love the new concept by the way. ChrisNatt
Thanks alot. Nazila
thank you very much for your feedback! Pri
Perfect!I think about that. Nazila
Hey thank you! I see you have a good bunch of project here, very interesting. keep up the good work! steste
Thanks for letting me know the bugs - I am working on it! diplomod
@steste - thanks. howman
@diplomod - no problem... the design changes are really good. howman
I have noticed, and it isn\'t a huge problem, that when I do a detailed evaluation, in the sorting section, projects I have not viewed or evaluated are offered for sorting. I don\'t mind it, but it is a disservice to the designer as I can not evaluate a design I have not viewed against one I am viewing, so these designs tend to be ranked low in the sorting. This is something to take into consideration when finalizing the weight of the sorted evaluation in judging. howman
good photo! :) Kris
I started typing a lot, but could be summed up as you have some great ideas of your own and invaluable insight into those of others. riddickuliss
Photos of children! and yours too! Kris
ok..DON\'T PANIC..:) durica
thx for your advice..I can´t manage without ;D durica
nice compliment from you, thx, I like your direction of mind in yours ideas durica
Howman Thanks for the comment. The system does not work with the brake pressure, is independent and its achieved by the activating sensors that according to the distance of a car behind it, the lights get dimmer or brighter. HelferDesign
Thank you that you show me how much somebody need the interaction :) durica
Love your innovative designs! I hope some of them make it onto the market one day Jak
I like your idea. But I wonder if superimposing the therapeutic light on the screen will reduce the available contrast ratio of the display? Maybe the auxiliary light could be around the edge of the screen instead of overlaying it. howard
Yes... you have lots of good ideas. Did you even one of these ideas into reality?
@skilleder - None of these have been put into prototype as of yet. The point of these ideas is for the community to help develop them and to push the boundaries of what is possible with todays and tomorrows technology. Some of my ideas are far future and others are more possible with todays technology. If you notice, just about every idea I present is not a product solution but an underlying technology which can be used in many products. My goal is not to develop something that can be sold quick and easy but rather to inspire and provide a tool set for others to develop products from. I have said it before somewhere here, but I have no real desire to create the music player but rather the music file, to use a parallel. I also address the emotional aspect of each idea in a situation in order to illustrate one possible affective application. howman
Hallo Howman, Thank you for your comment. But I don«t understand \"We have 8 Ladies and Gentleman...\".
Does it mean eight ideas about fabric?
Please help me

Hi howman. Here is my suggestion of how the goggle would detect the mood. Reading a few articles I came to know that our eye color changes with our mood. So placing a color sensor in the goggle would detect the color of the eye that indirectly reflects our mood. Now according to the color detected the goggle would change the color correspondingly as stated before. Thx for your suggestion, ya for application in certain situations where we want the reverse thing to happen we would change the goggle to more aggressive color, in way to heighten the sense of person wearing it, put them on edge and make them more aggressive. Here instead of relaxing mode we would rather have violent mode. Hope u get Me.! pavithrabvs
Appreciate your scientific approach here, there and everywhere! Pretty cool site you have here. I like your text comments. You have my vote, for sure. http://scottfisher.multiply.com/photos Scott Alias Steven Hawkens Knoxville, Tennessee http://player.cumulusstreaming.com/SLPLayer.aspx?KFOG-FM scottfisher
@howman:ha ha.. you probably cannot swap out the lights as you may have to return your bands back to your teachers and you are not allowed to take it back. ya i agree with you, the teacher can also be made to wear a one as we can find how well the teacher has understood the concept....i dont understand /*Fitting that the OP used images of South Park\\\'s classroom...*/ pavithrabvs
Thanks for your feed back had undertaken initial research and hadn\'t found anything similar. Still think that the idea could be further developed.appreciate your comments though. lindaexmoor
LOL - no i have no day/night off...;) u probably familiar with the inflamed imagination disease:) or u asking this because of the beauty saloon treatment with LEDhead involved? ;) anyHOW - wanted to tell u THANKS for all your comments and support. Eva
ah, just couple of days more and then we probably get some LED rest.. Eva
hoLEDay... Eva
Hi Howman. Thanks for your kind explanation. Now I see better your point of view :) petra
Wow..u r really a creative person. Good ideas! And thanks for ur comments. Eva Shi
didn\'t intend to upset u;) we can always switch to bags... Eva
LOL - lucky bag just have a single phase... Eva

Congrats! Looking forward to working with you on Phase 2! LED Head
Thanks LED Head. I look forward to the next part too. howman
Great lightnings - but one question - which computer-software do you use to produce the images?

Idea Details
My kind of day.
Description
A small circuit board connected to RGB LED\'s is controlled by your daytimer application. Depending on how busy your day is a different colour of light is displayed.

This allows you the ability to quickly relate to the level of activity your day will contain through a visual cue allowing you to mentally prepare for your day. Just by just looking at your computer you can immediately get an indication of how busy your day is going to be. As your day timer application is updated by you or someone else, the system alters the colour of itself. If your day is clear the system would glow green, if you have a brunch appointment and something in the afternoon with plenty of time between a yellow or light orange light would emit from the system. If you have an early start with very little time between appointments, your system would glow red.

Just by looking at your computer, synchronized mobile device, or a bed side peripheral upon waking up, you are able to understand your day and be prepared for it.

Done and To Do:
Have RGB circuit board which produces a smooth rainbow transition over time and runs on voltage from power LED.
Need to reconfigure it to accept data from an application source.
Need a simple application connection to Sunbird or Outlook in order to generate dataset based on used allotted time.
Need iPhone, android or smart phone application to display colours on screen or with built in talk/power/notification LED.
Would be nice to have a smart alarm clock peripheral connected through bluetooth for easy alarm setting and bedside light notification.
Can be broadcast through bluetooth to any device such as fridge touch panel, car radio or LED fitted to a shower head.

Looks really neat and the functionality is great, especially the sync with mobile devices! Maybe you should be able to adjust the sensitivity, otherwise its always red ;) diplomod
Thanks. That is true, although the system is self adjusting ranging from a blank schedule being green to a full schedule being red. I also think that there will be some form of algorithm which works out time between appointments and adjusts for that... Perhaps even synchronizes with a mapping program and can adjust the colour throughout the day based on time allotment and distance to travel from one appointment to another. I envision your GPS enabled mobile device adjusting the colour through the day based on how far you are from your appointment, so the closer you get in location and the more time you have, the less urgent the notification colour. A sliding scale if you will. howman
Nice thought! Most new cell phones have GPS built in. You may even think further and put the LED and the acording algorithm INSIDE cell phones. diplomod
Yes, this would be the function of the application sold for your iPhone or other smart phone. The application would allow your phone\'s screen to glow around the periphery or the power LED for that matter based on your networked daytimers input data. As all the devices are connected, phone, home and work computers etc, each would be update able by the other. howman
The beauty of the idea is that the circuit and light is something that can be sold OEM to computer manufacturers or as easily installed in your home computer as plugging in a USB cable. howman
I like this idea and believe it should have a sync with watches and cell phones. If its attached to the watch it can also tap into a biorhythm ordeal as well Classic
The watch sync is a nice touch, although my recent research shows the group of people who would most likely use this concept on a regular basis, or more fully, have already started abandoning watches. People are more and more using their mobile phones as watches and alarm clocks. I also find that most people will walk out of the house without a watch on but will not leave their phone at home, so the idea of selling them a watch that has a duplicate technology might be a hard one. This does not of course preclude the likelihood of there being a market for a watch that takes the place of a mobile phone and contains this concept light. howman
I do believe thats true. I don\'t really where my watch anymore, mainly because the battery died, but I do use my phone more. What other ways do you think that you would be able to apply more functions to this product? Classic
@Classic... ah my son... have to save something for stage 2. lol howman
haha, indeed my man Classic
I think that this is the best design on the site at the moment. It represents both well thought out technical innovation with a really original aesthetic that could easily become an iconic design. I want one! Martyn79
I understand the technological purpose but not the design. Why those shapes and materials? jota
I think the material selection melds the old with the new, the new being the new technology. LED Head
@Jota - please see my website for an explanation of the forms... do a search for Enlighten and you will find the site... howman
@LED Head - Thank you, yes, the idea was to meld the old and the new and make it timeless... I was pleased with this form as it would not look out of place in a Frank Lloyd Wright house or on the bridge of the Star Trek Enterprise. howman
Frank Lloyd Wright was exactly what I was thinking, it has that style to it. LED Head
Thank you very much... It has also been compared to Herman Miller, but I don\'t see it... howman
